Located on the upper stories of a high rise, this apartment with its large spanned windows overlooks the beautiful skyline of Mumbai. Contemporary with minimalistic style of interiors formed the core concept for this apartment. Wide spanned windows, along with ample of circulation spaces became the base for planning the space layout for each area.
In the daughters room one can see an informal marble seat created as an extension of the wall-to-wall window, with soft shear curtains, brining in diffused natural light, creating an appealing and pleasant ambiance in the room. Both the rooms namely the daughter’s room and the master bedroom have large, full heighted glass sliding wardrobes, providing ample of storage spaces and helping the room to be de-cluttered.
Each room has been custom designed and carefully articulated to make provisions as per the end users comfort and needs.
The living and dinning spaces are seamlessly interconnected, but at the same time have their own identity. The powder bathroom opposite the dinning is carefully camouflaged with a flushed door and a uniform wall covering.
In the living area near the window, spaces have been carved to accommodate a mini bar and a crystal artifact display unit. A traditional Persian carpet amidst the contemporary set up adds a pleasant element of surprise to the surroundings.
Monochromatic colour palette, mainly shades of golden beige have been used in both bedrooms and the living - dinning area. Beige with coffee coloured grained, Italian marble spreads across the entire house not only giving the space a larger feel, but also adding character to the space. One can see added splashes of colour in elements like paintings, books, upholstery etc. Overall this space success in creating a warm and cozy ambiance with just the right amount of furniture and artifacts.
